Bundle Content

This Strength and Conditioning Bundle contains four of our full courses. These courses can be completed in your own time, and you will have access to them for the lifetime of JC Online. Take a look at the courses included in this bundle below.

Optimising Strength and Power

This course focuses on optimising the force capability of those you work with. You will gain an understanding of the tissues at play and how to target these tissues with focused assessments and training.

Eccentrics, Concentrics and Isometrics Unpacked

This course focuses on the length tension relationship and the implications for what strength looks like at different muscle lengths. The force-velocity relationship will also be discussed and how different parts of the curve impact assessment and programming.

Shaping and Shifting Muscle

Changing the shape as in the size, thickness and length of muscle, and shifting fibre type can have substantial effects on the force-velocity properties of muscle. This course focuses on hypertrophy, architecture and fibre type and narrows down on information that is meaningful to your practice.

Movement Screening, Landings and Asymmetry

This course focuses on areas that could guide your diagnosis of client/athlete needs. Movement screening, landing ability prior to plyometric prescription, and understanding inter-limb asymmetry are the key topics covered in this course.

What's Included?

Each course is approximately 10 learning hours. Within each course, three topics are covered. Each topic is comprised of three units of work.

1.   A Masterclass that introduces you to the mechanics and/or physiology associated with the topic. Information around assessment and programming is typically briefly introduced in this module.

2.   An Assessment Zone that takes you through different types and ways to assess the topic of interest. These assessment zones sometimes finish with a case study where you practice the techniques covered and your interpretation of the data.

3.   An Exercise Zone where you’ll learn how to implement simple exercise progressions and programming considerations, given the diagnostic information provided in the Assessment Zone.
